Purpose

Sabre Insurance run a significant number of developments, which involves contributions from cross functional Departments.

Alongside a move to Agile working practices in systems developments, there is a need for an overall project management function to support the business.

Key Responsibilities

Pull together project plans, budgets and resources. Tracking key milestones, interdependencies and drawing it all together to ensure a successful delivery.

Engage with technical teams and key business stakeholders across the business to ensure business requirements are being met.

Deliver a variety of end-to-end projects across business operations, technology and procurement projects.

Excellent stakeholder and project management skills needed to manage internal and external stakeholders.

Key Performance Indicators
  • Prince2 or AGILE qualification
Relationships
  • Closely liaise with other heads of department, managers and key stake holders
  • Form relationships with peers within the industry
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
  • In depth experience leading and driving a variety of business processes and technological projects as a Project Manager, able to jump between procurement, business and tech projects
  • Delivered multiple projects at the same time successfully
  • Strong stakeholder management skills essential, able to navigate a complex stakeholder environment
  • A strong familiarity with various Agile and Scrum elements, including Agile planning and Agile project management with Scrum
Competencies
  • Outstanding organizational skills, especially the ability to prioritize. APMs must focus on the project’s critical components and ignore unnecessary or distracting work
  • The ability to not only remain calm but to actually thrive under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, essential for collaborating with teams and talking with management and other non-team individuals
  • The ability to work well with others
  • Superior critical thinking capabilities, including the ability to think on their feet
  • A strong familiarity with various Agile and Scrum elements, including Agile planning and Agile project management with Scrum​
