To ensure the provision, maintenance, and continuous improvement of high-quality reports across multiple business functions, emphasising the critical nature of data accuracy, integrity, and the ability to interpret and validate data to support decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take full ownership of the Management Information (MI) reporting lifecycle, serving both internal business functions and external parties, ensuring reports are accurate, timely, and meet the business requirements.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the data sources and business operations to not only ensure data accuracy but also to provide insightful analysis that supports strategic decisions.
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities for reporting process improvements, leveraging technological advancements to enhance report usability and data visualization.
  • Handle ad-hoc data and reporting requests, providing rapid and accurate responses to support business needs.
  • Collaborate closely with the IT and data teams to troubleshoot and resolve any data or reporting issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of reporting processes, methodologies, and version control to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing within the team.

  • Accuracy and integrity of reports:
  • Ensure all reports are free from errors and provide a true reflection of the business data.
  • Timeliness of reporting: Deliver all reports within established deadlines, contributing to efficient decision-making processes.
  • Continuous improvement: Demonstrate ongoing enhancements to reporting processes and outputs, utilizing feedback and technological advancements.
  • Collaboration and communication: Work effectively within and across teams, contributing positively to team dynamics and company culture.

Reports directly to the Actuarial Department, with strong working relationships within the Actuarial & Analytics Team, and other business functions requiring management information.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering highly accurate and reliable data.
  • Strong analytical skills with a logical approach to problem-solving and report development.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of explaining complex data concepts in a clear and understandable manner to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of insurance industry practices and the specific data needs of actuarial functions is desirable.
  • Prior experience in a reporting function, with a proven track record of improving reporting processes and outputs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Suite (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, T-SQL, DAX/PowerBI) is essential.
  • Experience with SAS or similar statistical software is advantageous but not required.
  • Strong understanding of reporting best practices and data integrity principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership and initiative in tackling challenges and driving projects to completion.
